Getting started
Who do you work with?
Roofing and restoration contractors who run insurance work: residential roofing, commercial roofing, and restoration (interior, water and fire). We work with contractors only, not homeowners.
What does onboarding involve?
Four steps: we build your company profile, you name your contacts, you invite us into your CRM, and you send your first file.
Should I send files before the intro call?
No. Please don't send claim paperwork or homeowner information. Once you're onboarded, files are shared through your CRM.
Which CRMs do you work in?
We work inside your CRM, on the job your team already uses. AccuLynx, Roofr and JobNimbus are in use with clients today. If you run something else, tell us on the intro call.
Files and documentation
What software do you estimate in?
Xactimate and Symbility. Residential and commercial, from a single trade to a total loss.
What types of estimates do you write?
New estimates, revisions, and GC revisions, which are revisions you ask for. Each is posted to the job.
What kinds of files do you supplement?
Residential and commercial: roofing and exteriors, interior, fire and water, and total loss.
What goes into a supplement?
The line items the job requires that the carrier's scope doesn't include, each with its support: the code section where it applies, the manufacturer's installation instructions, the measurement, and photo references.
What do you need from us on each file?
Inspection photos, a measurement report, the carrier's scope of loss when you have it, and notes on anything your crew will do that the photos don't show. If something's missing, we ask for it on the job.
Working together
Who works on my files?
Four roles: an estimator, a supplementer, a follow-up coordinator and an account manager.
Where do updates show up?
On the job in your CRM. There's no separate portal to log into.
Who do I call when a file is stuck?
Your account manager. They can also give you a status across all your files.
Compliance and scope
Are you a public adjuster?
No. SureClaims is not a public adjuster. We're engaged and paid by contractors to prepare estimates and supplement documentation that support the contractor's estimate. We don't represent policyholders, interpret insurance policies, give coverage or legal advice, or negotiate claim settlements.
Can you tell my homeowner what their policy covers?
No. We document the scope of work. Coverage decisions are made by the carrier, and coverage questions go to the carrier, or to a licensed public adjuster or attorney the homeowner chooses.
Will supplementing hurt my standing with carriers?
It can, if a supplement overreaches. Our standard is to document only what the job requires, on the trades you perform, with a code section, manufacturer instruction, measurement or photo behind each added item.
Can you promise a result on a file?
No. The carrier decides what it approves. What we're responsible for is the documentation behind each item.
Fees
How does your fee work?
We go through the fee structure on the intro call.
No question matches that.
