Xactimate and Symbility estimates built from your photos and measurement report

01 / Estimate types

New estimate, revision, GC revision

Estimates are logged as one of these. The names come from our estimate log.

  1. New estimate

The first estimate on the file, written from your inspection photos, measurement report and trades.

  2. Revision

An update when the file changes: new photos, a corrected measurement, or the carrier's response to a supplement.

  3. GC revision

A revision you ask for: a change of trades, materials or scope on your side, or a correction you've spotted.

One file, one estimate history.

02 / Inputs

What your estimator needs before writing a line

The estimate is only as complete as the file. These are the inputs it's built from.

Once you're onboarded, files reach us through your CRM. Nothing is uploaded on this site.

Checklist

  • Inspection photos. Elevations, each slope, damage close-ups, and a pitch gauge on steep slopes.
  • A measurement report. Aerial or hand measurements. It sets the squares, the eave, rake, hip, ridge and valley lengths, and the pitch by facet.
  • The trades you'll perform. The estimate covers those trades only.
  • Scope notes. Anything the photos don't show: layers, decking, access, specialty materials, interior rooms affected.
  • The carrier's scope, if there is one. Needed for revisions.

05 / Questions

Questions about estimates

Read all questions
Do you write estimates for trades we don't perform?

No. The estimate covers the trades you'll perform. If you don't install it, it isn't on the estimate.

Do you write commercial estimates as well as residential?

Yes. Both, from a single trade up to a total loss.

Where does the finished estimate go?

It's posted to the job in your CRM. We work inside AccuLynx, Roofr and JobNimbus with contractors today. If you use another, ask on the intro call.

Does the same team handle the supplement?

Files are staffed with four roles: an estimator, a supplementer, a follow-up coordinator and an account manager. The estimate and the supplement sit on the same file.

Tell us which platform and CRM your files run on

On the intro call we'll ask about your volume, your trades, and whether your files are written in Xactimate or Symbility.

Files are shared through your CRM once you're onboarded.
